The domain registrant for .edu.pk must be a bona fide educational institute with sizeable active student enrollment, and the institute name must be reflected in the domain name. .edu.pk domains are kept inactive after registration until verified.

To transfer a PK domain from one account to another, PKNIC requires a written authority letter from the current domain registrant (domain owner, not their agent) on official letterhead under their official seal. Pakistani nationals must also provide a CNIC copy of the company head or director.
